Gerry Anderson Fans!
To celebrate sixty years of Thunderbirds and fifty years of Space:1999 we thought it would be fun to have a Gerry Anderson themed competition.
The competition has three categories;
- A standard build of a commercially available kit, such as MPC, AiP or a purchased 3-D file
- A completely scratch built model of a Gerry Anderson vehicle (or inspired by). This can be from any of the series but must be a model made from foam, balsa, plastic card or whatever you have to hand!
- A diorama with either of the above or a pre-purchased miniature in there somewhere!
The Anderson Team will be promoting this from their side and will be asking for progress images of the model as its being put together. These will be posted on their website for the world to see!
There will be £250 worth of great Anderson Entertainment prizes for first place in each category supplied by the Anderson Team who will also be judging the competition.
There will be special consideration made for younger entrants for any junior modellers out there!
For those with already completed Gerry Anderson models they can still be considered for the best in show award which has a great trophy.

Best in Show
For anyone not bringing a Thunderbird 6 there will also be a best in show in award!
This is open to all exhibitors and visitors to the show and the winner will receive a great trophy. Tyrell Models, who are sponsoring the award, will check out all the creations on display and pick a winner.
All exhibitors will be automatically entered for this competition.
Few points for visitors on the day who would like to bring a model along:
- Each person may enter one model only (so we don’t run out of space).
- There may not be access to power at these tables. If your model requires electricity, you may need to display it as a static entry unless you can provide your own external battery supply.
- There is no size limit; however, if your model is over 2 feet long, please let us know in advance so we can ensure there is adequate space.
- Please notify us if you would like to bring a model along - but if you get a last minute desire to enter then that's cool, we'll try and make some room!
